I love you! – A journey of a lifetime
The performance created by Iiro Rantala and Lotta Kuusisto offers an intimate glimpse into the lived experiences, fears, hopes, and pleasures of the artist couple through music and texts. This intimate performance explores the joys and sorrows of life, as well as happiness and love. The narrative texts presented by Lotta Kuusisto are drawn from the works of writers such as Tommy Tabermann, Claes Andersson, and Eeva Kilpi. The music features compositions by pianist Iiro Rantala alongside classical pieces by J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart, and Egberto Gismonti.
Iiro Rantala opens the concert with pieces from his career that suit the mood of midsummer.
The concert takes place in the loft of the barn at Torstila Manor. Intermission refreshments are provided by Myrskylyhty ry, and proceeds from the café will be donated to support Ukrainians. The café opens well before the concert begins. Doors open at 4 PM. Parking guidance will be available on site. Please note that access to the loft is via an old bridge that is quite steep and uneven. Our staff will assist as needed. Personal assistants of guests can attend the event free of charge with the ticket type “Pyöraätuoli + avustaja” (Wheelchair + Assistant). It is possible to drop off guests by car at the entrance, but we kindly ask that cars be moved to the parking area afterward. A charming outdoor toilet is available for guests. The manor yard also has enclosures with sheep and chickens.
