Verneri Pohjola & Anssi Kela
Two distinctive artists who are highly respected on the Finnish music scene will meet in a unique joint concert.
Verneri Pohjola, an internationally renowned jazz trumpeter and composer, is known for his sensitive and experimental expression. His playing is characterised by warmth, calmness and strong and expressive improvisation.
Anssi Kela, a versatile singer-songwriter and rock musician, is an enduring star of Finnish pop and rock music, who has captivated audiences with his skilfully told stories and melodies. His songs have achieved iconic status and brought generations together.
Together, these two unique musicians create a new musical world where the freedom of jazz meets the straightforwardness of rock. The performance will include Pohjola’s and Kela’s own well-known songs, as well as collaborative works specially arranged for this concert, bringing together their different musical universes in a fascinating way.

The concert will take place at Kartanogolf in Joroinen. A stage will be built in front of the Kesäkartano restaurant for the event. The audience will watch the concert from the restaurant’s terrace and from the grassy area where chairs will be placed. Some of the seating will be placed under canopies. Doors open at 18.00.
The restaurant, which will have A-rights, will be open throughout the performance. Before the concert, starting at 17.30, a buffet dinner will be served for 38 €. We will check the tickets before the meal. Those dining in the restaurant will be directed to the concert area when the concert starts. For diners and groups, we offer the possibility to reserve a seat.
